About Yuanze

An export house in Yangjiang, Guangdong — the cutlery manufacturing cluster that produces the large majority of China's knife exports. We work directly with one knife factory in the same city, and place production orders there rather than buying and reselling finished stock.

Where you sit in the chain

Most suppliers you will talk to buy finished knives and resell them. We do not. Every order is placed as a production order with the factory that makes the blades — which is why sampling runs in days rather than weeks, and why nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer.

How the chain is built

Family-run partner plant → Yuanze → You

  • Two links — no importer between the plant and you, no second trading company
  • Capacity booked in advance for the orders we place — not bought off someone else’s shelf
  • One party answerable, from the blade to the carton it ships in

We keep one relationship rather than shopping the market: a factory we have known for years, and whose quality we have to stand behind. One product line, one factory — which is why questions about steel, hardness or tooling get a direct answer instead of being passed along.

01Manufacturing

From steel bar to packed carton

Blanking, heat treatment, grinding, assembly and packing run on one site. That is what makes a 15-day sampling schedule possible.

Four of the steps not the whole run. The full sequence is in the list below.

What we control in-house

Six headings, more than twenty separate operations — from the first cut of the sheet to the last label on the carton, all of it on the same site.

  1. Blanking & forging — steel sheet cut and pressed to blade profile
  2. Heat treatment — hardening and tempering to the grade specified for the order
  3. Grinding & sharpening — profile, bevel and final edge
  4. Handle fitting & assembly — scales, rivets, bolster, balance check
  5. Inspection — hardness, edge retention, surface and handle fit
  6. Marking & packing — etching, gift box, carton, label, barcode

What we buy in

Packaging — rigid boxes, EVA inserts, printed sleeves and labels — comes from partner workshops in the same industrial cluster: long-standing suppliers we have worked with for years. You still place one order, receive one set of documents and pay one invoice.

Why that matters to you

One order, one invoice, one point of contact — and a single party answerable if something goes wrong, from the blade to the box it ships in.

02Trade fairs

Meet us in person

We're on the stand with our partner factory at China's knife fairs — Yangjiang's international hardware fair among them. Blades you can pick up, handles you can feel, and someone who can quote on the spot.

Come and look at the goods

Photographs only tell you so much about a knife. If you are visiting China, or sending an agent, you are welcome here: pick the blades up, weigh them, open the handles, compare the steel, and take samples away with you.

We will walk you through every series we make, and arrange a look at the production floor on the same visit. If you cannot travel, the same can be done on a video call, with samples sent on afterwards.
